I was on the Big Island of Hawaii in February. A month after I left the earth tremors started and subsequently the volcano erupted. Ironically, there was so little going on with the volcano during my visit that I did not bother to go see it.
Four buildings on the South Island:
I expect to be making regular visits to the Bay Area and Northern California in the future.
This was the last stop on the Southeast Asia trip. The town is full of tourists because it is near Angkor Wat.
After leaving Viet Nam I spent a few days in the Luang Prabang area. Although it was fun, I would only recommend this stop if you have a lot of time.

This famous scenic bay is a 3 hour car ride from Hanoi. It’s not far, but the roads are slow.
Hoi An is a 45 minute taxi ride from Da Nang. That will cost you only $12. At its center is an old city heavily influenced by the Chinese. It is a major tourist destination.

The sound of roaring motorcycle engines on the Strand, mostly Harley V-Twins, is the sound of happiness. After two rainy days the weather cleared up and all the bikers in Galveston (near Texas) were treated to a perfect day. Lots of bikers and pretty girls here. Thank goodness for pretty bartenders.
This is the first batch of photos, expect more over the next few days. The girl in the pink top below is the daughter of the gal in the large photo above.
I was recently in Colorado. Aspen groves had turned to gold and the first snow fell at high altitudes.

These images are from my recent trip to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick in Canada. It rained on half the days of a 10 day trip, reducing the number of keepers to about what I would usually get out of 2 days in a large city with good weather. The lead photo is of the famous Peggy’s Cove lighthouse.

Punta del Este is a gem of a beach town in Uruguay. There was a loft apartment for sale there priced at US$3.5 million. The hand sculpture is a famous landmark. There are also a few photos from Montevideo in this gallery.
