Old Manila
These photos were taken in Old Manila, the Capital of the Philippine Islands. I was told this area was not safe, especially at night. Ordinary folk here buy their food at outdoor stands; the indoor supermarkets are too expensive.

Absolutely. The best photos I get in Houston are not in the upscale neighborhoods.

Hi Ron,
Glad to know that you visited Philippines. Love the lobster… 🙂
A more peaceful place and lots of sites to see is south of Manila (Batangas, Bacolod, Cebu, Dumaguete, etc.)
Hope you could return one day, and see lots of beautiful places here in the Philippines.
regards,
Mel
